Looking at a newspaper in store and saw the new Mother at age 66 of the twins dies but couldn't find a reason? Anyone know? Thanks Phillipa was thinking fertility drugs?

~~~ Clomid would have been useless in this case as after menopause a female has exhausted all the eggs she was born with... one can't ovulate what one doesn't possess.... thus, an egg donor was required.

She already had the tumor when she gave birth. I bet the symptoms were covered by the pregnancey hence not found? Phillipa

How did her uterus support the preganacy as progestone necessary in early stages till the placenta begins to produce progesterone? Phillipa

~~~ I'm think there was an intense and difficult effort with the dosing of hormones and other meds to achieve and maintain the process. Her pregnancy was reported as being quite difficult.
I remember when she gave birth and all the issues it brought up about the fertility augmentation industry and their policies which gave way to many questions of ethical concerns... those continue to grow as it has become a big industry.
She WAS deceptive in her giving age, so that's a concern and MAYBE a midigating circumstance for the clinic. Still, the age of 55 - which was that clinic's guideline is questionable for me. Most clinics have a cutoff age of 45.
I have my own strong opinions about oversight....

Oh I feel it's selfish to bring a child into the world who will or could become an orphan as the twins now are. I know my own 44 year old now wants a baby since she has all the finer things in life and is in a position for nannies, etc. But she refuses to do IVF only the med for helping ovulation. And to think I was a baby factory when had first at age 19. Don't come near me I am pregant barefoot and pregnant. Why this huge baby boom with the economy at an all time low. Don't get it. Everywhere I go pregnant women. Not insulting I hope anyone out there as having children is by choice or even still accident. Phillipa

I think, generally, it's good there are options and interventions for fertility problems.
I also believe this is an area where technology has outpaced our ability to see the repercussions until some tragic situations actually happen... This is not unusual in our technology driven society in many areas - not the least of which medical.
It's one of those situations of just because we CAN maybe the question needs to be if we SHOULD...

Just also read that some 70 odd year old woman had given birth too don't remember country. I'll definitely od if pregnant by imaculate comception. Phillipa
