Phil!

hope you are feeling better. Here is some bits and pieces of a guy I admire back home. It's never too late to make a great contribution in life. I thought you'd like the one with his dogs ---if you scroll down---since I still remember the poem about the stray dog you posted a few years back. Jimmy's a bona fide genius and it doesn't stop at music.

Good to hear from you pal! It's not so much about my friend really------just wanted to take your mind off of reality --if only for a moment. Rodney Dangerfield once said he never knew a really happy comedian. Maybe that's why you're depressed---you're one funny guy---no lie! We're all pulling for you bro!

Thanks Bobby. Let's go fishing. : )
I like to make people laugh but therapists and Zen are on to me. I'm just hiding my feelings by distracting the conversation.

In my mind, there are worse things but I'm trying to be more aware of what I'm saying and why.

Good to see your name Phil.

I'd like to say more but I seem to end up rolled up into a confused thought ball, Kind like those poor spiders who were given amphetemines and then tried to spin webs.
Except of course, I'm not spinning webs.

there's potential for a really bad joke lurking in that last sentence but can we all ignore it please?

Salt water or fresh water? Let me know when you find out what you're trying to say. distraction/humor and denial have served me quite well for almost a half century--and it really doesn't bother me. However, if the search for deeper meaning in those traits bother you---by all means---do what you have to to find happiness. Anyway, if you figure it out, it may give me a clue---although---as long as I'm not hurting anyone----I'm not likely to change-----but I'm also glad to have an open mind. i know with certainty--that the answers I've sought in life were more often than not---right in front of me("If it'd been a snake it'd bit me) and deep down I knew the answers all along. Sometimes people just need affirmation. questions concerning the human mind are a mystery---kind of like death---you may swear you know where you're headed---but until you cross that line----it's an educated guess(theory) or a strong faith in something you hope is true----but the proof lies on the other side. Personally---i'm going to take as long a humanly possible to find out---hoping to be shot by a jealous husband at the ripe old age of 110 yrs old. I hope you find the meaning of it all ---here in the living world--I dig having you around. I hate doubt--it eats you from the inside out---unfortunately---sometimes you just have to tune it out like a bad relative or an angry partner. keep your head up my old friend---I've got faith you'll find peace--or acceptance. I'd take either one.
p.s. I'm not making light of death or the search for the meaning of life--just using humor to show seriousness---life is a paradox.
