My big fat dumpster kitty, Timmee, hasn't been home since last night. I live in a very secluded and protected area. I have a big open space and creek behind me. Oak and pecan trees. Very quiet. I thought that he was just hanging out somewhere and he would hear me and come to me or come on home.
Tim doesn't stray..at least he never has. He is addicted to his dry kibble and other comforts. I've covered a huge area. I drove and then I walked it. Talked to neighbors..no one has seen him.
I am numb. The grief and the fear is almost overwhelming.

That sounds scary. I hope you find your cat very soon. You've been through enough already.

This newest about your kitty is just too much Pat.
You must be just beside yourself. I am so sorry.
I was thinking that I wouldn't be at all surprised if Tippy was there with Fayeroe when she went. That's the way I think of it anyhow, because Tippy was probably there all the whole time.
I'm glad you're 'here' to be able to talk about Fayeroe & how you feel, etc. & for us to be able to be here for you.
Please say whatever you need to. I am so sorry you don't have your dear friend to greet you when you come in; to sit with you & be a part of your life.
much love, Kath
I don't know if it would help to talk more about specific times with her? If so, please do. Or if there's any other way you can get comfort or support, let us know.
love, Kath

The premature death of someone you love, including an animal, is horrible. It's only natural for you to grieve. You should post here as much as you want about it. I'm sorry friends haven't been any help.
My dog always does a happy dance when I get home. I'm grateful to still have her. I appreciate how safe she makes me feel now that you point out how fayeroe made you feel. Grief is rough. You're not alone.

Thank you both so much. Not being able to find Timmee seems like overkill to me now. I don't know how deep the well is....I feel the numbness growing and I don't know what to do with it.
Faye was the happiest dog that I've ever seen. And I've had some happy dogs. She outdid all of them because she was so unconditional about every creature. The only thing she didn't like was the people that she didn't trust to be around me or around our home. She was ferocious when it came time to step up.
I keep thinking about our times in the mountains in Oklahoma. Those were the best times and when we moved here, we settled in so well and her maturity really showed.
I will talk about her more. You have no idea how much it means to be able to get some of this out.As I said, stuffing it is hurting me physically.
I'm going to go look for Timmee again.
xoxo Pat

I received a babblemail this morning saying what I've avoided saying. I've thought about it but praying that it isn't so.
Remember the neighbor that assaulted me? I pressed charges and he is looking at jail time.
1. Fayeroe died.
2. Timmee has disappeared. Tim is not here. I've combed this area twice. He is not hurt and lying in the brush. He is not here.
Timmee is a food hog. He will eat until he drops. I believe that he could be enticed with tuna, etc. No one could catch him otherwise.A cat trap is deviced to trip the door once the cat passes a certain point trying to get to the food. I use them with the strays that we get "fixed".
I am going to call my friend at the animal shelter and see if anyone has turned Tim in. The scarier scenario is that he was taken away and turned loose to roam. Tim could catch mice but he isn't your Mr. Adventure Cat.
Pray Hard......Pat

When I brush him, he growls at me and I growl back. He always has the "deer in headlights" look when he hears me. He is just "ole fatty arbuckle"
here.It is pouring rain right now and has been for about three hours. Thunder and lightning.

My good neighbor confronted Keith and his take was that Keith hasn't done anything with Timmee....We've known Keith for three years and Robert said that he seemed very genuinely upset and told him that he would watch for him. He even asked his name so he could call him if he saw him.
I am relieved.......but, where, oh where is he?
We are having really bad thunderstorms so I haven't been back out in awhile. The shelter doesn't have him.
Pray hard.....xoxo Pat

fayeroe,
Did you ever determine if your neighbor had anything to do with fayeroe's death?
I'm so sorry for what you're going through. It must be just awful!! I thinking positive thoughts for you and Tim. I hope he comes home safe!!!! Please keep up us updated on what's going on, or if you just want to express how you're feeling. I really don't know the words, this on top of fayeroe's death. Just know that we're all thinking of you both and hoping for the best.

My good neighbor confronted him about Tim today and Robert believes that Keith doesn't have anything to do with his disappearance.
It has been raining really hard and that increases my anxiety about him being out somewhere. I've covered every inch of this two block square. It is mainly open little fields and the creek and big trees. I waded the creek and climbed up all of the banks.
I'm thinking predator now. We have them due to the creek. Tim did NOT roam. He is a momma's boy.
Thank you so much, Cass. Being alone with no one to share this with is hard. Thank god for you guys and the memorial site.

p.s. send him good vibes so I will hear him banging on the screen door.

I'm still sending those vibes and I'm here for you. Have you gone to other neighbors and asked about him? You may consider putting up flyers on the off chance someone has him thinking he's a stray. Did he have on a collar? There's still a good chance he could show up, and that's what I hope for with all my heart.

P.S. I've been giving my kitty extra love on behalf of your kitty.

He is hurt but he is here.
I was up until 2:00 a.m. looking for him. Calling him. TeddyJack kept barking like he could hear something so I suited up and went out into the rain.
Mikee slipped out during the time I was going out and got into a fight. Broke that up and captured him. Went to bed...still knowing that he was nearby. I KNEW it.
We got up at 10 and I put Mike's food out. I looked on the little back porch like I do 100 times a day and no Timmee. I thought well, it was a thought and I am glad I acted upon it. I might have found him.
All at once Mikee did this snarling meow at me and not being in the best of moods, I said "what the **** is wrong with you...how dare you use that tone on me after last night!". He looked at me like "you've lost it now, old woman". I turned from him and I heard it again! I threw the door open and there Timmee stood (well...crouched) on the porch! I started crying and screaming and he hobbled in.
Our vet is not here today and I will keep him quiet for the rest of the weekend and see her first thing Monday morning. I can't tell yet just where he is injured. No blood. Last night was a very, very loud storm..no lightning but crashing thunder and super hard rain......but he isn't wet..
Bless Timmee and ALL of you who held my hand and prayed and lit candles for us.
I will tell you this..with Tim being dry as he can be, I think he had shelter. I had told my good neighbor yesterday that perhaps Keith (chainsaw Jason) had him in their house......then he talked to Keith...
How could this cat be spotless and dry? I have to go back to my theory that they had something to do with it. I searched every shelter two or three times and all of my neighbors looked in their outbuildings. He was not to be found. Our grass is soaked. How did he get to the door and not be wet?
Well, he is here and I'm going with that!!!! My feet are going to do a happy dance now and I am going to have my coffee!!

OMG!!! That is so awesome!!! Oddly enough, I had a feeling there was good news when I decided to check this thread just now.
I have to tell you, on Friday at work, I said a prayer for Tim. I'm an agnostic, but I felt it was worth a try. I said, "Okay, I don't know if there is a God out there, but if there is, please let Fayeroe's kitty come home. She's been through so much. And if her kitty does come home, I will strongly consider your possible existence." So, now I have a lot of contemplating to do.
I am so happy to hear about this! Keep us updated on how he's doing, okay?

> I am so happy to hear about this! Keep us updated on how he's doing, okay?Tim's left front leg is very sore. Underneath his leg and up into the shoulder. He has slept almost all day on my bed and then on the back of the sofa. Mikee has been very attentive in cleaning his face and ears for him. He has eaten a tiny bit of dry and wet food. When he was eating the dry food, he tried to purr and it was hilarious listening to him. He was gobbling and purring.
He is very happy to be home. I brushed him and loved on him earlier.
Thank you so much..one and all..and you're right about having so much happen here. I have done nothing but cry since he left. It just seemed like too much for me to handle right now. Thank Goddess that part of my load was lifted.
