I have the album, "Working On A Dream". No matter how many times I listen to it, I can't get myself to really like it. "Magic" was much better, I thought.

Bruce has been my favorite recording artist since 1975, when he released "Born To Run". I guess he is entitled to a mediocre album or two. I like this new one least of all. He is also entitled to make money, which is where I think his head was at on this one. I am disappointed.

So, I guess I'll listen to U2, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Beethoven, and Roy Orbison for awhile.

I dunno. I am not an absolute WORSHIPER of EVERYTHING Bruce, even though I love a load of his stuff. 'Human Touch' is JUST BEAUTIFUL :) (and even it's brother, 'Lucky Town') where actually more to my liking..I liked the 90's era Bruce stuff A LOT! But, I've been wishing for that sound for a long time. Kinda like Mellencamp. I don't really like a lot of his newer stuff, even if he is saying amazing things, but more of a fan of Human Wheels era. Oh, and the new U2 is good, it just takes quite a few listens. Towards the end of the album, it gets REALLY good. Happy listening, for now.

All time favorite still the Beetles and John Lennon. Man the fun I was having when they were popular. Phillipa

Wow. Springsteen and U2 are my all-time faves, and now are there PB threads about both of their latest releases.

I have "Working On A Dream" but have only had time to sit down and listen to it once. (If this site ever has a Time Management board, I would probably need to be a regular there...lol.) As with the new U2 release, it didn't do a whole lot for me on first listen, but I'll give it the opportunity to grow on me.

I'm really more of a fan of Born To Run and his other 70s recordings than anything he's done since then, though, including Magic. I did like Tunnel Of Love, though. And if I had to pick one of his CDs from this decade, it would be The Rising.

I really liked that album. What I thought was cool is that he recorded the whole thing himself in his bedroom using a cassette recorder.

Do you find yourself listening to "Working On A Dream"?
