I mean seriously! 20 years ago when I was in high school this would have NEVER HAPPENED!!! I love that I'm living in an age that I get to see this. Give us 30 more years and we'll have a black, female, bisexual, atheist president who believes in ghosts. And you know what, I'll even throw in 'likes country music'. Hey, I'm open minded.

..he was judged by the content of his character. I don't want to encourage unrealistic expectations ---but I think an aspect worth noting is the trying times in which he was elected--Heroes are born not in times of peace and tranquility-----but rather in the heat of battle--in times of great conflict. Seemingly ordinary individuals can spring forth out of obscurity and into destiny.

I know, its not as if the MCKainey was so bad, it seems to have been more of a judge of the individual, which makes it even better. Our society is growing up. Awww!

what, exactly, does "post-racial" mean anyway. I feel like a right-winger when I fail to understand my own biases as "post-racial"
