I've been studying a LOT today. I have my second organic midterm tomorrow.
I know I shouldn't be stressing so much because I know I understand most of the material.
My pdoc says I should aim to pass and anymore more is bonus.
I'll be happy once this is over tomorrow.
I'm planning on walking a lot tomorrow and just having fun.

It was hard. I guess the prof decided to make this test extra hard since everyone did so well on the first one.
It was awful. I just hope I passed.
There were two ten mark questions that I couldn't get at all.
Hopefully the class average will be so low that the prof will bellcurve the results.
I heard a lot of sighs from people while writing the test, I hope that means everyone was struggling too.

Try not to worry too much. The curve is a great thing. Once I got a 50% on my chemistry final, and it was an A.
And a lot of times I do better on tests than I think.
It's behind you now, and it's best not to worry about things you have no control over. Can you think of something exciting to take your mind off it?

At least it's over for now. I think hearing the struggles of your classmates (sighs) means that it was difficult for everybody...and a curve seems likely.
I have a feeling you did fine.

That's just par for organic chemistry. For generations organic chemistry courses have functioned to weed out premeds, and horror stories about exams with means well, well below 50% abound.
I think it's terrible educational practice. If I were to give an exam with a mean below 50% I'd have to question whether the exam had any validity, the success of my own teaching, or both. But it is a routine practice to give exams like that...

Lots of sighs sounds like you certainly weren't the only one finding it hard & frustrating.
You're a good student Deneb. It sounds like this was a very hard test.
My thoughts are with you. And ya know - not great marks on one test aren't all that bad. I know you like to get really good marks & that it's important to you. And keep in mind - most of the time you do. This is just one test.
((((((you)))))))
luv, Kath

What caraher said makes sense. I guess its hard not to worry about something that was designed to make you worry! But I bet you did well and there will be a huge curve. Keep us posted!
