:-)
I'm going to walk for exercise now. Yesterday I walked 3.76 miles at a 3 miles/hour pace. I wasn't tired at all so I know I can walk further. I found this neat site that calculates the distance for a certain path.
I'm going to walk in rain and snow, not way extreme conditions though. I'm excited about going to MEC again to buy some long johns, waterproof breathable pants, and some reflective safety bands/sash.
I'm going to try to walk whenever I can and I'm thinking of walking a half marathon in May. I think it's too ambitious to sign up for the full marathon, but depending on how my walks go, maybe I'll try for it! It may have to be for 2010 though. LOL
I can walk 3 mile/hr no problem right now, I can walk faster, which is good because the time limit for the marathon is 7 hours.
I'm happy! :-)
I feel in control of my life right now. I can make things happen if I work at them. I think I can get fit if I work at it. I like walking too, so this is an ideal exercise for me.
