My healthy eating, plus question for wine people.

Posted by Deneb on September 24, 2008, at 21:32:58

So far I've tried Cabernet Sauvignon. I'm almost finished with one regular sized bottle.

At first taste it was awful, but then after a few days it wasn't as bad.

Does wine change in taste when left out for a while? Like does it turn more acidic?

I'm not sure whether it's the wine that changed or my taste buds LOL.

What's the next wine I should try?

So far I'm doing well with drinking 1/2 a cup of wine a day. I usually drink it at night after work or school with a snack.

I'm also doing great with just eating healthy in general. I'm trying to find ways to make it less expensive thought. I definitely have to stop buying healthy food on campus, it costs a fortune! Over $11 for a yogurt, some veggies with just a tablespoon of dressing, a low fat whole grain slice sandwich with mustard and a sugar free iced tea. I used to get a huge slice of pizza for less than $3.

I feel really good just eating healthy and not watching calories. I don't feel deprived and I'm not binging. I'm not just eating low fat, I'm also making sure I eat healthy fats. I read about nuts being really good for people. I find the fat makes me feel full and I don't get hungry as fast as with just carby low fat foods.

I also take fish oil everyday now and vitamin D and C.

:-)
