Argh, I hear my mom go on and on about this local girl who killed herself and how she was one psych meds.
Most people on meds don't kill themselves.
I just hate it when she worries about me.
She doesn't want me on meds. I don't really care either way, I don't seem to notice any difference, although I could be wrong, who knows?

My daughter is on meds and she tells me all the time, "Mom, there is no difference, I'm just the same." HOWEVER ... the people that live with her, mom, dad and brother ... ALL notice a difference.
If you know you function better on meds, that is all that is important. You are an adult. You see a p-doc regularly. You are taking care of you. Good job.
I don't think your mom sees you as a separate person.

Hi Deneb,
I think your mother believes what she thinks is right for you, but she isn't you. Only you know if the meds are helping because you know your body and mind your mother can only make a guess.
My mother worries about me, too. I think it comes natural.
