Way up near the top, a new member is coping with loneliness.
I am quite sure we had a recent thread about that & I think there were some good suggestions.
Does anyone remember which thread?
or wish to make a new list?
My thoughts are:
If you are of a certain faith, join a church, synagogue, temple, etc. I think people would welcome a newcomer warmly.
Think about what you're interested in & join a club or group. (Your local Chamber of Commerce would maybe have a list of activities/groups in your new town.)
Look into becoming a volunteer maybe at a hospital, or the library.
TINA - didn't someone write a list for you?
Skyborn - hope some might feel comfortable for you.
