Survivor! Ozzy! !@#$%

Posted by TexasChic on February 7, 2008, at 20:13:35

Okay, how crazy am I??? I'm TOTALLY jealous because Ozzy (my favorite player and super intense crush from Survivor a couple of seasons back) is hooking up with this chic on the show!!! I'm not even sure if I can watch it! Seriously! What's wrong with me???? I don't even know this guy! But in the previews it showed them making out and everyone saying, "Get a room already", and it was HORRIBLE!!! I really think there's something wrong with me! I think maybe I live in a fantasy world rather than real life. I'm mostly a loner and for the most part very happy that way, but occasionally I realize that there is so much more that I want, and I'm maybe avoiding that realization. God, you know, I think I'm doing pretty good, and then I have this epiphany of how screwed up I REALLY am!

Just try to relax. Who hasn't had a huge crush on someone???

Maybe you get things in place in your life bit by bit.

Sounds like you took a while to get your education, then your job in place, then didn't you get a new place not all that long ago?

Baby steps & gentleness with yourself & bit by bit things will fall into place.

You've had people disappoint & hurt you & not be there for you. Of course venturing into the 'getting involved with people' in whatever way is going to take time & courage. You might just not feel safe enough yet.

It'll probably come! Don't worry.

xoxoxo Kath

Thanks Kath. Its true, its taken time for me to get where I am. I just, I don't know, it freaks me out how upsetting it was for me to see this guy on tv with another chic. Although, I guess I did kind of transfer all the feelings I felt for the last guy I liked onto this dude on tv. But knowing the psychology of it doesn't make the feeling go away. I just feel like such a screw up sometimes. Why do other people seem to have it so much easier? There better be some type of payoff: afterlife, karma, or whatever, for undo angst in life!

yeah, that preview is crazy! I bet anything one of them gets voted out next! They are setting us up, don't fall for it, Ozzy can be yours again!

I have no idea why I watch this show, I hardly watch ANY TV, but keep watching this. Maybe there is subliminal messages in that music! lol

Thanks HF! He can be mine again... I like that! I can be very wishy washy about Survivor. I'm the same way about about American Idol. I never want to watch until they've weeded out the majority of the people. Maybe I'll just wait a bit before I continue watching. He's just so freaking cute though!!! When it comes to my type, he fits it so well! And have you seen how long his eyelashes are??? He's one of those pretty boys with the gorgeous hair & long eyelashes - who usually hate those things about himself - which for some reason makes him so much cuter!!!

****I agree about the payoff - I want it too!!!

As to other people, I recently mentioned to Tina on another thread - we can NEVER know what's happening in other people's lives.

Except for the people I've told NOBODY would guess that I have a son who has a cocaine addiction & brain damage at least in part from doing drugs; that sometimes I'd DREADFULLY depressed & would rather not be alive.

I guarantee you that apart from maybe 2 people in the pottery guild who I've told, NOBODY (73 people) would ever guess that I have big issues to deal with. I'm happily married ( which is a real blessing) & we own our home, but MAN oh MAN there's stuff that nobody would know.

We can look at others & think they have it ALL or think they have a darn lot more than we do in our lives. But we don't know if a family member is dying of cancer, or if they have HUGE debts (& that's why they have those clothes, car, house, etc). We don't know what they think when they look at themself in the mirror. Tons of really attractive people actually think they're ugly.

I'm not trying to minimize your feelings, but I think when we're down, or down on a certain part of our life, it is TOO easy to have NO 'reality filter' on how we see others.

I send you love. I'm sorry that you have the intense feelings about the guy & that you feel uncomfortable & "less than" because of them. You're right - it's probably a trigger for you.

((((((you)))))))))) luv, Kath

Thanks Kath, you're right of course. Just look at Britney Spears! At one point she seemed to have it all! But now she's falling apart right in front of our eyes! I feel really bad for her. Just think if every stupid, drunken (or just stupid) scenario you've ever been in, and imagine it on NATIONAL NEWS!!!

I get really upset sometimes, but usually come to my senses given a little time. I'm better today. I guess this is the only place I feel comfortable going off about all the stupid stuff I'm thinking when I'm in freak out mode.

Thanks for being so supportive Kath!!!!

You're right! Imagine - it would be like living in a fish bowl!!! NO privacy!!!! It would be horrid.

I sometimes forget that people just need to let it all out sometimes & that that often helps them.

I tend to jump into fix-it mode to soon maybe, so I'm glad you find me a support for you.

I may come to my senses later, but at the time I'm freaking out, it feels like I'm losing my mind. The support I get from you and others here helps get me through those 'crazy' times, so that maybe I can get to a place where I can actually help myself. Fix it mode is good before, during and after those times!

*********sigh of relief!!! If at any time in the future I sorta jump in with 'fix it' mode & you just want/need to rant or whatever - please let me know!!!! For ex: "What I mostly need right now is hugs" would let me know REAL quickly!!

...which I'll give right now: ((((((((you))))))))
