Why are the good quality men taken?

Posted by Happyflower 1 :-) on September 9, 2007, at 18:44:17

Why should I get divorsed when it seems all the great guys are taken already?

I met this guy, my orchestra director, he is so cute. He is a professional violin player, and in rehearsal he just mesmermized me when he picked up a students violin and whipped out this passage. His smile and charm are so wonderful, he is unlike must directors I have known.

But today I was looking at his quartet page, and(he has dimples and curley hair) it showed a picture of his wedding a year ago. :(

Well it was a long shot anyways, but it was one of the first men I have felt attracted to in a long time. boo hoo

This makes me wonder... are you getting divorced in order to meet someone else? Or because you'd be better off not married to your present spouse, regardless of whom you might later meet?

What an appropriate question as when younger I always thought the grass was greener on the other side. Found it's not. Marriage takes work hard work. Phillipa

Well my marriage has been dead for over 2 years since he had an affair. He refused to do couples therapy , indiv. therapy, and get STD testing done. I am still in the marriage for my kids sake for now, until I can support myself totally on my own and my children too. Even though he would pay child support and be good about it, I don't want to rely on it from him.
So I am waiting for a couple of years if I can. But I look around, and It just seems anyone who I would even be interested in, is married. So I guess there is no hurry for me.

The thing is I do want to have a good relationship with a man I love and who loves and respects me the same. I miss that.

I hope it's more then a violin, dimples and curley hair that attracted you to him. ;-) There are plenty of nice guys out there who don't get noticed because they don't look a certain way. Trust me...I think I am one of them. :-)

OK. Knowing your circumstances better, it makes more sense. Good luck!

Okay! I am glad there is one guy still left. But you probably live in Alaska or somewhere far away from me! lol

Manhattan. Too bad Sex in the City is off the air ... I could be an entirely different type of typical male for them.
