Have been for a week & just now going online!
what gorgeous weather.
Thanks for the good wishes. Hubby & I had a wonderful time.
Went for great walks in the forest - Crown Land forests. Saw the most enormous moose hoofprint!! The size of my hand!! Saw signs of bear but fortunately no bears themselves.
Hiked, canoed across a lake then hiked again, about 5 miles into the bush along a sometimes hard to see trail. Ended up at a trapper's cabin & lake.
A great time!
Kath

Yup - we sure are gadabouts in the summer. The furthest we go is a 3 hour drive.
This is how it looked:
Early June - 1 week at a rented small cottage 3 hour drive away on Bruce Penninsula
Kath's Week Away - camping near Parry Sound (about 2 1/2 hour drive North)
Early July - 1 week at rented cottage on Bruce Penninsula near where we were before
August - 1 week camping 2 hours away at Pinery Provincial Park
Sept - 1 week away near Parry Sound again in small cottage right on the water of Sandy Bay in Georgian Bay
We are very fortunate in that we can do this. I guess if we saved the $ from all those weeks we could go somewhere warm & wonderful in the winter. I would LOVE that. But it's nice to have the various weeks away. ALTHOUGH - by the end of the Sept holiday I am delited to just be home & settled.
Hugs, Kath

Thanks.
It's good to be back, although I could have stayed in the last cottage gladly! It was so nice & relaxing.
Hugs, Kath
