Did you talk to them and ask if they were depressed? If so can you ask them to call their doctor? And then let them know you are their friend and maybe say oh I know I've been depressed myself it's no fun. And offer to do something with them maybe talk about it. Are they suicidal? You'll want to find that out too. Love Phillipa

Invite them babble? Might be a good idea or a bad one, I don't know. Just an idea depending on how depressed they are.
For someone with more serious depression, certainly professional help might be needed.
Anyway Deneb, I hope you're doing well. Glad you're concerned about someone else, you're a good person. =)

I don't want to get into details, but yes they are depressed and feeling pretty bad.
I just want to make sure I don't do or say the wrong things you know? I'm glad they feel safe to share their feelings with me.
