new to the city.
the general ways of volunteering and such won't pan out because i am just... different. i feel like a freak among regular folk.
an ad for a friend would look like this:

male or female for friendship *only*.. must have very strange sense of humour. Must be against conformity and mass consumerism. Must like dogs. Must have an IQ in the triple digits, or at least fake it. Must not own a string of pearls or anything from Northern Reflections. Must not publically admit to listening to country music. Preferrable if an art junkie. Must understand the sheer joy in a hat shaped like a chicken and/or be accepting of said joy. Must enjoy laughter above most other things. Must think "candle parties" or other such gatherings are really cults. Must be able to leave home at least periodically without makeup or cellphone. Cannot question why there might be pliers/hammer/motors in my bag...unless it's to enquire as to their make or brand. Having kids is ok, but will limit a lot of interaction as i do not comprehend parental stuff, or the kids themselves. i fully respect a parent's need and natural desire to talk about their kids, but i will be staring into space at the time.. sorry to all parents, it's me not you.married, single, divorced, separated, gay, bi,or other all accepted.

You sound pretty cool if you ask me, but I am also different. ;-) My T says different is refreshing, and not boring. He is diffferent too. ;-)

wow...how can i be an art junkie and not love jonny cash?...my pearls were passed on to me from someone i love...
i love cult parties..how can you not relate to something you have been your whole life (kid)...

well, that's just it. i do not love johnny cash. i do not relate to cult parties of any sort. When i say art i mean Kathie Kolwitz.. Jenny Holtzer... Pollock... etc. i read Kafka, Joseph Cambell and Vonegut. i have not watched a sitcom since i was 11. i do not know who Mc-dreamy/steamy/etc is. i have never seen the sopranos nor desperate housewives.
i am not against people who do... but i am seeking out people like me so i CAN relate to them, and them to me.
where do i find these people?
