for one as precious as you
I shall attempt to preempt being blue
ignoring negative ruminations
in order to establish communication

Your caring enough to tell me
that I am cared for, and missed
means more than words alone
for it reminds me that I am blessed

(and that's no small thing when I have Raging P.M.S)

Thank you KK

Thank you so very much.

I really needed that.

Hell I almost forgot I'm fabulous..

and that is a sad sad thing.

Hey, I got a little parcel notification in my mailbox today YAYAYAYAYA!

The poetry herein above is so profound
that it could inspire me
to write poetry--almost--
but that I'm confined to this low-down kind of mind,
one which has dragged at me for years--
the kind not to be assigned tasks
that it does not care for.
One, rather, that scorns to mark
its silly effusions on the screen.

It objects, and pretends to perfect,
heightens, and confects strange objects
for verse, phantasies most perverse,
desecrations of the sublime universe I would inhabit
if I were to write poetry, truly.

Poetry is such a pain, wreaking havoc
with one's thoughts, insisting on cleverness, and
some part of wisdom, and the parsing
of piquant phrases. All beyond me.

So I shall retire from the stage (or screen),
taking no part in this pantomime
of wit.

Your friend, Honore

Oh MY!
Your prose put my poetry to shame, I kid you not.
Now, I realize that wasn't your intent, but I have a passion for uniquely expressive use of words.

Dont say that, Gabbi-2! I liked your poem a lot!

I also liked KK's poem. It's fun to write poems-- and KK is a huge inspiration to me. I can't keep up with her, but every once in a while, I get the impulse to answer.

I spent many years writing horrid depessing poetry about the misery of my existence-- so probably I know a few tricks. But this, unlike that, is fun.

Yours poem was great, though. I hope you realize that. We can have a little friendly competitiveness if you like (although it makes me nervous-- but it is part of life, actually, so maybe it's good to try to accept and enjoy it if it's harmless competitiveness)-- but no saying that yours was no good, or anything like that-- or I'll worry that mine is not good. and then we'll (or I"ll) stop writing-- plus it takes some of the fun out.

And I did like yours--a lot-- or I wouldn't have written back

Honore

yowsa wowsa!!!!

i'm almost speechless (ha! almost!)

i am honored to hear that.. wait, in case you forgot, you wrote.....

KK is a huge inspiration to me

thanks for that. i'll write more later. maybe in a minute, maybe next week, busy weekend. but i'll catch up soon.

thanks again. that was jsut glorious, especially with all the ANXIETY ~~~~~~~~~ i've been feeling lately.

have i proposed to you yet?

if not, i'm an idiot (and there's not a thing uncivil about calling yourself an idiot, especially in a case like this...)

perhaps one day,
i'll run away
to a city
full of lights that seem so pretty

far from the kuntry
and fields of grass
to chase a lovely
piece of *ss

have a great day and tomorrow dear
adn though i've yet not mentioned your poem, it's not that i haven't noticed it. i just don't even know where to begin. i guess just saying it's perfect, wouldn't do it justice, would it?

xoxoxo,
kk

and you..........

first off, glad to hear that second bit of news, was getting a bit nervous, you know. sending quarts of moonshien through the mail and labeling it 'water' and 'iced tea' does tend to make one wonder if it would get checked by some nosey postal worker (hey, i'd be tempted :)

and how in the world coudl someone as fabulous as you ever forget that?

that's jsut beyond me. if you ever need reminding, feel free to ask. (and trust me, you have tons of people who agree with my opinion, and i am quite the expert on fabulousness, you know! i even once took a class on it during university, just to avoid graduating. you fit all the classic signs.)

about raging pms: oh girl, let us talk. ok, we'll spare anyone else who happens upon this conversation. but, i feel for you. hopefully some of the moonshine helps with that :)

that poem was perfect. hearing from you was perfect. seeing your name right here, in my house was perfect. you are perfect. thank you for that.

take care of my wonderful gabs for me, k?

love you sweatie (yup, i spelled that one right, the moonshine should make you sweat like a *hore in church baby!),

kk

well, i'm mooning all of you!

Okay..

And I didn't mind that was just a fun spontaneous thing, not anything that represents the depth of my artistic integrity (thats sarcasm in there) : )

Just you Wait til I show you the poem I wrote about Candidiasis, (no, it's *not* as gross as you might think) it's actually to the tune of Hotel California, now that was one of my finer moments, and I'm sure something any woman who's been on antibiotics for a while can relate to.

I can't write poetry worth beans, I have this grade Z dr Seuss ability to write silly rhymes without even thinking about it, but if I try to go deeper than that, it sounds like something that belongs in a grade 8 year book..

I beg your pardon but I think that would be backward..

i'm not backwards!

my sister, perhaps. me, never!

<begin dramatic music> perhaps i'll go somewhere i'm wanted! (turns head to the side, hair flips around while doing so, hands on hips, lips pursed, you get the idea).....

but, i suppose i'l take being called backwards just to see your name.....

unless of course you were suggesting i bend over. yes, that's what you meant. of course that's what you meant by backwards.

Err, I'm not sure about the Hotel Candidiasis poem. I try to avoid thinking about such things, which, even if not quite as gross as I might think (cause I might think it was awfully gross), might be gross. Plus for cultural reasons, I feel constrained not to be a fan of the Eagles.

What type of beans, by the way? I like beans. And inc ase you weren't aware, silly rhymes were quite the fashion inthe late 15th, early 16th Century-- and are, I believe, on the verge of making a recovery in the annals of literary criticism, as the exhaustion of post=structuralism has left us without any profoundities to propound, or temples to topple.

Dr. Seuss may yet be considered the Shakepeare of the 20th c; it took Shakespeare several hundred years to be considered himself. So who knows?

I'm sure the depth of your artistic integity will be fully understood only years, if not millenia from now.

Honore

or there'll be serious hell to pay!

i mean the earth may swallow up and eat you. you'd be bound to visit dante's inferno and visit the various circles of hell. (i almost think he wrote it wrong and they involve children, bills, therapy, psych meds, pharmacy miscommunications, parents, mood disorders, poor weather, addictions (ok, i think there was a reference to that in there somewhere) and a few more that i can't think of right now.).

this is not a curse. ok, maybe it is. but, if kk gets word you are a travelin anywhere near this hemishphere and fail to stop by and see me in my underpants and fabulous shoes, you've been warned!
