RU near your place 'to take cover'?
I remember growing up how exciting those tornado warning were. Our mother would pop corn and we'd all sit in a circle around the crawlspace opening.

Yeah, they were more fun when I was a kid and too inexperienced to be really scared. I remember being in my cousin's bathtub, under a mattress, munching on bean dip and corn chips.
As for today, I spent some time in the tub under blankets and pillows. It just wasn't as fun as it used to be. Instead of food, my adult brain thought of taking shoes along.....in case there was a broken glass situation in the aftermath. Thankfully, there is no aftermath, though....for now. Apparently there is another system heading toward us from the west and we can't really rest until 1 in the morning. Anyone care to keep me company later in chat?
Our city has a riverboat that's docked and used as a restaurant. The first level of that is under water (aren't boats supposed to float, btw??). My cousin lives near the river. You can't really see the water from the house, normally. She called and said the barn is under water and the river is now 10 ft. from the house. And the news is reporting a tornado on the ground just east of here. What fun!
