I wish I were happy(ier)

Posted by Deneb on February 18, 2007, at 1:33:38

I feel like I'm just sucking support from everyone. I should contribute more.

I just wish I feel better. It's not unbearable (right now), but it's not good. I haven't felt really happy in a while now.

I just wish I were happy again. I remember being happy. It was really great. Nowadays I either feel nothing or am upset. Once in a while something makes me laugh or smile, but that's rare.

Maybe if I help others more I will feel better.

I'm down about my life.

Sigh.

Blah.

You're not sucking support from me.

I can remember feeling happy, although I didn't realise that was what it was then.
(The cool air on my face loading wheat in the dark.)
It's been a while though.

Some of this is the human condition, although others think differently.

(In my opinion) the only consolation for life is art and being able to help others.

I honestly think that you get out what you put in. Happiness doesnt tend to come looking for you - you have to find it for yourself.
Helping others is a good start.

Well said. Although in my version it'd go something like this:

(In my opinion) the only consolation for life is nature, geology, AND art and being able to help others.

I was thinking this earlier - I like what I study and I sort of feel abit more 'alive' when I'm studying it.

Definitely. :)

I was talking idly to my son about pets the other day, and mentioned that I couldn't imagine a worthwhile life without my pets. I said that if he ever had to put me in a nursing home, he'd better find one that took pets. He very solemnly promised to put me in a home that took pets, but asked me to please remind him a bit closer to that time. :)

Yes! Of course! Pets. Well, perhaps they come under 'nature'? Well.

Okay so its:

>(In my opinion) the only consolation for life is nature, geology, pets, art and being able to help others.

I feel as if we have to add significant others in there too.

>In my opinion) the only consolation for life is nature, geology, pets, SOs, art and being able to help others.

I'm surprised you agreed about the geology bit? I know its great, but I do tend to think that people in general don't see it quite like me (which, I am relatively thankful for, as I like the fact that geology ain't too competitive for jobs etc etc).

I suppose geology should really come under 'nature'. In fact, my bf should really come under 'nature' too, judging from the amount of hair on his body.

Art is somehow very important. hmmm.
