Thanks for asking. I changed my name (not very anonymously) and decided that I'm not suitable to be a deputy. I think that particular decision has some supporters. The name change is inconsequential, except that I don't want my name to imply a frame of mind.

It's a big change for me here.
Thanks for asking, Kath and Phillipa (and Deneb).
And also, thanks to the deputies for their concern.

I doubt there is a single deputy (and certainly not Deputy Dinah) that that couldn't be said about. But it certainly doesn't mean the feeling is anywhere near universal. About you at least. I'll make no assumptions about Deputy Dinah.

I understand that you need to do what's best for you at this time, whatever that might be. And certainly I understand how being a deputy might not be best for any given person at any given time. It's not an easy thing to be.

I thought you were a pretty cool deputy; pretty cool in general!

I guess I should read Admin to see if names change. I already tend to spend too much time on here! I don't want to read Admin. I feel sort of discombobulated that there might be a new name & I 'know' the person & then think the new name is a 'new' person. oh well. (Not being critical of anyone changing their name AT ALL; just feeling unstable).

What do you mean 'it's a big change for me her' - do you mean not being a deputy?

I send you HUGSSSSSSSSSSSSSS :-)))) Kath

No, no - I didn't mean to implication any individual in particular. I know that there are those who also feel that I'm not suitable. And I've never felt anything but support from you, Dinah.

I certainly flip-flopped in the best political sense in becoming a deputy in the first place. I so wish I had trusted my intuition then; at least I can do that now.

If you are not suitable to be a deputy it can be understood in the nicest way, can't it?

That's how I see it.

Well, I support your decision to step down if that's what you think is best for you. Thanks for going the extra mile and contributing as a deputy. Deputies are really important to Babble, and I've really valued having you as a member of our team.
