Time For Serious Winter And Serious Boredom

Wow looks like the dead of winter is upon us. So how and what do you do to keep occupied? As you can't be out all the time, cleaning is limited, and it seems like we should become bears and hybernate anyone else? Love Phillipa

The cold sounds excellent.

PJ, why don't you cash your TV in and buy some good whisky and books with the money.
If you can't read you can always drink.

I soooo wish I could hibernate!! The wind chill here is unbelievable, and it's been snowing every day for at least the past week (the Great Lakes cause this wonderful thing called lake effect snow...) Brrrr!! I'm in school so I've been trying to buckle down and work when I'm not in classes or at my job. But tonight I can relax a little, so I'm watching tv and surfing the Internet, my two favorite activities.

I hate winter...I do read. I watch too much TV and hang on the puter too much. Mostly I try to exercise more and get to the stores so I can shop and be OUT ....also I go crazier :)

No, the Great Lakes are too big to freeze. They're the big lakes up between the US and Canada, and when the wind blows across them it picks up moisture and dumps it all on upstate New York, where I am, as snow. It's interesting, because it can snow when it's blue sky and sunny, or it can come on really quickly and get blizzard-like in under ten minutes.
