Because of snow. And they can't reschedule me on a flight to get me there in time. No meeting my babble friends. I am so, so disappointed. Can you hear my sobs from there?

I'm just glad I thought to check my flight status online before I left the hotel. I feel bad for SD, though. This probably changes things significantly for her. I've called and babblemailed her. I've babblemailed CS, too, but I'm not sure she'll get it. She may have already left and I have no other way to contact her.

waahhh! I still trying to find a place to stay for the night, I still might be able to make it. Maybe Dr. Bob will let me sleep in his office or something! LOL
I have class today so the soonest I could make it was 6:30 and the last train to leave where I live is 7:30, so that is why I need to stay the night. If anyone wants to get together on Sat, I could come up then. I really wanted to meet everyone, and jammer was so kind to help me out. (she has such a nice voice by the way)

I would normally drive there, but with 12 inches of snow in the forcast and plus I just lost my drivers license shopping the day after Thankgiving,I am calling the stores today where I might have lost it, it would be really risky.

I'm taking a break from digging out North of Chicago. We have 12" and counting (snow, that is). Actually, my pulley broke on my snow blower. My wife is thrilled with the burnt rubber smell in our foyer as I fix it. Luckily I bought two belts last year. This stuff is heavy and I can't imagine there will be any left at the hardware store.
Anyway, I hope CS is watching and will let us know if the meeting is still on. It will be a trip trying to get to public transportation as Im sure there is no parking in ChiTown. Back to the blower. I'll check later. Toph

yup, from what I see on the news, maybe a afternoon flight might leave, but 100's have been cancelled. Bummer, bummer, bummer.

I woke up at 6 am for a few minutes and heard that flights had been cancelled.
Aw, that was going to be so much fun! But you'll do it next time. Definitely, no question!!
