Have a listen to this song above. It really conveys a lot of what I am feeling. I've had this cd in my car for over a year, and listen to it many times a week, still. Tell me what you think...

Thanks,
Jay

Thanks for sharing, Jay- is this one of your own?

I understand feelings through music more than any other medium (more than words, visuals, touch even)

I hope that twgyw soon, real soon-

When I heard this song I heard someone who was brave enough to make himself vulnerable- especially in the chorus, where the higher pitch is risky-- I heard optimism in the chord progressions, but not smug happy-go-lucky optimism. I heard that the chords don't always go where we expect them to, but the longer the listener is left hanging, the more satisfying the eventual resolution is.

best wishes on your next date- you're a brave guy for your perserverance

I loved the song. It must be Rob Thomas.

I often feel like he's in my head.

Funny, we both love Buckley, and Johnny Cash (especially "Hurt" which you also brought to my attention and I thank you for.

What I find funny is that I think Rush is one of my all time LEAST favourite bands. : )

I hope you don't take criticism of bands you like personally, I don't.
I didn't meant it personally for sure, I just think it's kind of strange.

Because I love the other ones so much.

Hi...thank you..and no, I could never write something this great..lol. It's by a band called "The Calling Two" is the name of the cd.(As in "Two" is the name of the cd..lol..) As far as my dating goes...well, I am still struck out, but I am alive. I'm doing what many others are also trying to do...I just suck badly sometimes,(or often!:) lol. Some interesting stories, though. This last person I met, boy was she a real bundle of joy! She was just kinda nasty, really grumpy and miserable the second I met her. Then she said "I don't want anything to do with you...I'm not attracted to you." Well, I could have said the same, but I would also say, hey, we can still be friends! But, it's like, sometimes these people think you owe them something.

Oh well...sorry for the editorial..lol...thanks,
Jay

Hi Phillipa...

You might need Windows Media or Apple Quicktime updates. Let me know if that helps...Jay :)

Hi Gabbi:

Hey, whatever music gets you through the day..that's what is important! If we all liked the same stuff, I think life would be pretty boring. I am glad you found some enjoyment in few of the things I posted. Oh ya, and as I noted above, this tune is by an obscure band and cd called "The Calling Two" That cover of "Hurt" by Johnny Cash seems to have become one of the most popular and powerful songs ever performed, as I keep reading of citations to it everywhere. Take care....Jay :-)
