I'm still procrastinating doing the therapy. lol

no, seriously- Meri-Tuuli linked me to a website that has podcasts about procrastination research- what psychologists know about different factors that cause or exacerbate procrastination. I listened to one of the podcasts last night and it was really good. The guy is very clear spoken, and gives good practical advice.

Here is the link to the podcasts alone

And Here is the link to the rest of the research

I guess I'll load a couple more onto my iPod and listen on my walk this morning.

or maybe I'll do it tomorrow ;o)

I always thought you'd go to jail if you cut those tags off. Seriously. Love Phillipa

I know, I sat there listening to them, realizing I'm procastinating listening to podcasts about procastination! Ahhh well.

They're good aren't they? They're quite densely packed through, I'll have to listen to them again, and have a pad and pencil handy....

Actually procastination doesn't seem to be affecting me so much studying this time round. Hmmm. And one that 'tip' I have found really helpful, is you know that thing were you like to challenge yourself and put it off because its 'too easy' well, i've been making my assignments more interesting, and making them more difficult and not thinking about them as just something to pass (with good grades!) but as proper learning opportunities, if you see what I mean. Well, we'll see how it goes.

And the other one, 'putting something off because its really scary', man, I'm doing that now because I have to try and find out what I what to do for my masters research. Actually, its not entirely my fault as the lecturer I want to do it with is away in Peru, but hey. I could still talk to his PHD student!

I really wish I could go do my undergraduate again. I wasted so much time and effort worrying what my so called friends thought of me, or going out too much, and just doing the bare minimum to get a good grade. I could have learnt so much!!! I mean, I got a good grade at the end of it, but I always wonder how much better it would have been if I hadn't had a 'bad attidude'....oh well. At least I had some really really fun times! You can't say I didn't live. Anyway the point was, I procastinated extensively at uni back then. Even my roommates commented on it.

Anyway, I'm dribbling on.....too much puna vinii!

Kind regards

Meri
