Wow, tell us what it's like to move to another country. Any language barriers? Cultural changes to adapt to?

Hey!
I forgot to mention that I missed my babble friends whilst I was away!!!!
Anyway, um, ClearSkies. I'm probably not a typical example, as I'm half Finnish anyway (no jokes please!), so the culture here isn't particulary different to what I'm used to, if you know what I mean. My mother lives here and I have tons of relatives here and I can speak some Finnish, so...plus I've lived all my life in the UK, which isn't soo different from Finland. I mean, its not like I'm coming to live here from, say, Somalia, or Nepal, or China or something.
Anyway I'm hoping the mental health provision is slightly better here than in the UK!
Kind regards
Meri

Hi Meri-Tuuli,
One of my brothers-in-law went to Finland and we asked him to bring us back a bottle of Finlandia. He forgot until he was at the airport and he grabbed a bottle off the shelf and got on the plane. What he grabbed was Harvey's Bristol Cream- not quit the same thing.
Hope things go well in Finland and in school. Don't mix the Finlandia up with the Harvey's.

Finland, Finland, Finland
The country where I want to be
Pony trekking or camping
Or just watching TV
Finland, Finland, Finland
It's the country for meYou're so near to Russia
So far from Japan
Quite a long way from Cairo
Lots of miles from VietnamFinland, Finland, Finland
The country where I want to be
Eating breakfast or dinner
Or snack lunch in the hall
Finland, Finland, Finland
Finland has it allYou're so sadly neglected
And often ignored
A poor second to Belgium
When going abroadFinland, Finland, Finland
The country where I quite want to be
Your mountains so lofty
Your treetops so tall
Finland, Finland, Finland
Finland has it allFinland, Finland, Finland
The country where I quite want to be
Your mountains so lofty
Your treetops so tall
Finland, Finland, Finland
Finland has it allFinland has it all
