Thank you so much for thinking of me when you were shopping and for the gift. I feel like a giant turd for not thanking you before and for basically being so quiet recently.
Please accept my thanks and apology, as well as the following:
Alldone and Daisy are gi-normously kind, caring, funny, thoughtful, and wise darlings. I could go on and on, but I'm late at the moment and have to run.
Just wanted to make sure I said this.

Oh, (((gg))). How sweet of you to post such nice things. Although, I must admit, I shirked my responsibilities on this one. I took on the job of getting the gift to you. Which would have been no problem had I not left the gift on Daisy's kitchen table when I left for home. So, my whole part in this amounted to a big grin and "oh, good find, Daisy!!! That's just *perfect* for gg!"
So, I should be the one apologizing for the turdness. Certainly not you for being quiet. I've missed you and I hope all is well, but I understand.
