summer missed seattle. just checked the thermostat - at noon it is 70 degrees inside my house, and we don't have air conditioning! I swim when it gets too hot though. And eat the strawberry juice bars you can get at the Whole Foods.

I just stay inside as much as possible. But then, I kind of do that anyway. ;-)
Just now I went and did a bunch of laundry in our unairconditioned laundry room (I wasn't thinking about how hot it was outside). By the time I was through, everything I had on was soaking wet. Ewww! Luckily I at least remembered to bring a bottle of water this time. I always forget and feel like I'm dying of thirst before I'm even halfway through.
I already had the electricity go out once this summer. But it was only for a few hours and before it was quite so freaking hot. If that happened now I'd have to go stay with someone I guess.

In the middle of July here we should get a few cold weeks. This is the warmest winter in my lifetime.

It's 88.5 in my house and I have no A/C. I'm running my super-industrial fan on "hi" (sounds like a small airplane) and drinking water non-stop.
Went to the mall for a bit, but I'm trying not to get spoilt by the A/C since I always have to come home eventually. All the indoor tables were filled at Starbucks so I sat outside in the hot breeze. It felt like it was over 90 there. At least it's a dry heat.
But I'm pretty cranky overall.

I am thinking "Why are you still in Kansas"?...which I have lived all my long life. What keeps mehere....I need tomake a change and with the air feeling like a hot (100+ blanket, it should be soon. I liked Seattle when I visited and San Diago...but 70 all year long would be wonderful. Where is that????

Aww Wildcard..
Maybe it's just waiting so it can help you around the house when you get back from the hospital.
I know
You're probably in NO mood for jokes..I saw a picture in the paper of a woman in China who is pregnant with (at least--really that's all they could say ) 5 babies and she's 5foot 4 inches around the middle and only five feet 1 inch tall.
If I can find the picture on the net I'll send it to you.

Get This:
It included three bed quilts, a dozen sweaters, shirt, cushions, hats and so on
