Hi GG,

I'll trade you red maples for silver ones. If I yank one more tiny tree out of my lawn, garden or cracks between the sidewalk I am going to scream.

I've got them in my flower pots. And there's actually a seedling growing out of the bark at the base of the biggest silver maple in the yard! Weird.

I love my trees. I love my trees. I love my trees. (Repeat as necessary, especially in late fall).

They ARE everywhere! Are you tracking them into the house, too? It looks like they are coming out of my car, since they stick out of the crevices from the truck, the doors, etc.

Ack! Is it just me, or are there way way more this year?

I have a maple outside my apt window. For about 2 weeks every year I am on allergy high alert. The pale green pollen sticks to everything!. It makes me weepy. But at least I don't have to do yardwork. The best is when the sprouts start growing roots in your gutters. Then you know that it's time for some serious yard work.

Yeah, and what's with those thingamajigs that are stuck together like siamese twin whirlygigs? They can't fly a lick. So much for intelligent design.

Nope none of them this year. Love Phillipa but boy I remember the mess they make. And when you think they are gone they are there again. Darn wind. Love Phillipa
