When did I get old and fat

Posted by lynn971 on May 14, 2006, at 21:24:46

I had a hysterectomy at age 29. I also quit smoking about a year ago. I have gained weight. I feel so old and fat. I am having a breast reduction, so that should help.

I just feel so blah!!!!!! I am only 35.

You can turn things around Lynn.

You've already started by quiting smoking. That will add years to your youth and life. Getting in shape would probably add to your youthfulness considerably.

You can do it Lynn. You're still young. If you start taking care of yourself now, I'm sure you'll still be youthful in your old age.

Think positive. You can be youthful and old at the same time.

Deneb it's hard to be youthful in old age. Your body won't let you do what it used to do. Maybe plastic surgery would take some years off the out side but inside your organs are getting old. I do the old lady shuffel Kind of like jogging but much slower. Love Phillipa

It's probably more than what I can do. LOL I can't jog for 30 secs without running out of breath.

Walking is for me, not jogging.

Hey! Cut yourself some slack sweetie! Quitting smoking is one of the hardest things a person can do. I know the road you are traveling and it ain't an easy one.

when I quit smoking I gained 50 lbs. It's kind of a tough pill to swallow, but it's worth it in the long run.

I hope the surgery helps Lynn. Sorry you feel so down on yourself - it s*cks to feel that way. Hope you'll let us know how the BR turns out for you. I'm trying to get the nerve to do a lift myself - too chicken so far.

Hey guys,

The BR will take place June 5th. I pray that the insurance is going to cover. If not, I will take out a loan.

Phillipa, you are too funny. They did take pictures to send to the insurance company. I hope that they do not end up on some porn sight. lol

I am so hungry. (watching the weight today)

Girl, I can identify completely! I was a size 8 when I started meds, I was a size 14 when I quit smoking about 4 years later. Now I'm a 16/18 and feeling really really bad about it right now.
