I've been out taking photos again (I'll get them online later and share!) and got a call while I was out..
I'm off sick with my arm, and due to return to work a week monday (I *will* be returning then).. on this monday coming I have an appointment with occupational health so they can check everything out and maybe help me with some treatment..
So.. I get this call.. from one of my two bosses. While I'm in the building on Monday, could I pop in and do a hand over of the website I have built, to the person replacing me..
WTF? No more info than that other than "we'll discuss it monday.."
So.. right now, I don't even know if I have a job to go back to.. or if I do, if it will resemble my old job at all..
I should never, ever have left my old job.. I really shouldn't have

Oh, Nikki! That's terrible. Even if this isn't the worst case scenario, just having to worry about it makes it so hard. And I don't know what to tell you, besides the part about liking and supporting you no matter what happens.
Can you look and see what options you have? Maybe your dream job is open this week, which would make you feel so much better than the helplessness you must feel right now.
Take good care of yourself, and remember you can email your buddy in California anytime, and I think you have my telephone number, too?

I'm waiting for a call back from the boss, as I left a message on her mobile (cell) asking her to call me and clarify our earlier conversation..
but, I do think that, yet again, I need to rethink the whole career thing..
*sighing* but I do have some *awesome* photos from today!!

I've had as many jobs as I've had regrets about them... maybe that's why I'm not working at present :-(
I wish I could have muddled bits of them together but they were in vastly different fields. I'm left with knowing a little bit about lots of things and a whole lot about nuthin.Nikki, I hope the call goes well with your boss - that it's clarifying, if nothing else - and I hope that it's a reassuring one for you.
Hmm. Maybe it will be an opportunity for a hop across the pond?? To Florida, mayhaps? There's a guest suite somewhere around here...

Thing is.. I just blew my savings on the new camera *sighs*
Inlaws got back form 6 weeks in Fl yesterday though.. they had a wonderful time, and were briefly in your neck of the woods visiting someone they met at the beginning of the 6 weeks!
I've decided that I will worry about it on Monday.. and until then, revel in my new camera!

Oh nikki that horrid, have you been off long? Surely they can't give your job away in the NHS (i'm right in thinking that arn't i?)my private employer cut my money after only 5 weeks actually off sick (I was also off over a holiday period but I wouldn't have been at work then anyway)
I hate management. Hope it gets sorted on Mon, keep enjoying your camera
