No crisis or anything like that, just feeling blue and lonely....
And trapped. Went to run an errand this morning and found that I have a flat tire. So, I'm stuck at home today.
And I'm REALLY wanting to talk to my teacher/friend/mom figure. I left her a message last night saying I'd love it if you could call me back, but if you can't, that's OK too. Honestly, though, I want her to call and wish I'd just said that, but it's so hard. And now I've got myself really wanting a couple of minutes on the phone with her, but feeling that it would be wrong to call again.
I'll be so glad when I finally grow up and stop feeling so needy. Any hope that it will happen soon?

Sorry your day got off to such a rotten start. Flat tires are moodbusters in the best of times. I hope things get better for you. I don't think anybody ever really feels like a grownup all the time. I think they just fake it for the kids sake. But I hope you get more of your needs met.
Maybe your friend will call back later. It's still early :)

Argh - car stuff. If I had a nickel for every time my plans have been thwarted by Car Stuff.
For a light-hearted break, go to cartalk.com . It's where the Click and Clack radio programme from NPR has their really, really entertaining website.
And I think that being needy makes us into human beans, don't you?

Days like that just stink. I'm sorry you're feeling blue. I hope it passes quickly. And I'm glad you asked for support.
Take care,

It's difficult to learn to support oneself. Some people really need a mother figure for support. I think that's okay, but can get risky...because they might not always be there for us. :-(

I hope you find the support you need and then some.

I think I know how to support myself. It's just that sometimes I get tired and would like to lean on someone else for a little while. No man is an island, right?
Thanks for the hugs.

Sadly, I don't think it's really any better. It might be worse. Isn't it normal for kids to want their mothers at night. I'm not feeling very grown up right now. I've really tried - going out to dinner and to do some shopping with my husband - but I really just want someone to tuck me in and kiss me goodnight.
I do feel like I'll be able to sleep, though, and that's an improvement over most nights.
