Tell me all about it

Posted by curtm on April 24, 2006, at 9:38:25

Was there something that you did or saw this weekend, even one little thing, that made you smile or gave you a nice feeling and for a moment helped you forget about the other challenges that affect you? I hope to help you bring that feeling back today. Would you share your experience with me (us)...

Even if you can't recall something, or had a unpleasant experience that overwhelmed you, I am here to support you.

I had a very nice weekend. I got all my yard work done for the start to the spring season. It snowed this last night; that will be good for the grass. Then I took my 4 year old boy to the Kid's Fair. Lots of fun and educational stuff to do. He really enjoyed it (especially the barrel train) and I enjoyed being there with him watching him learn and build his confidence. He even climbed the 12' clibing wall to ring the bell (with a little help.)

I went to a concert and discovered that, yes, there ARE some things I'm too old for. Doesn't the saying go, "If it's too loud, then you're too old?" Well, it was WAY too loud. I think I'd best stick with enjoying this group by CD only. There were some people there who looked older than me, but I think most of them were there b/c of their teenage children.

As far as real fun..... It isn't much, but I spent some time at the perfume wall at Sephora. I just love spending an hour there, smelling fragrance after fragrance. This time there was a man who worked there that made it even more fun and I actually BOUGHT something for a change!

I was sitting in my family room, and I looked out at the view. It's of a mature cherry tree currently in full bloom, with a blooming redbud a bit further away. They sky was a very pretty blue, there was a slight breeze, and I could smell the lilacs from the side yard.

Heaven!

Thanks for suggesting this.

The eggs hatched in the nest of my Boston Fern on the front porch. And are they tiny and cute .Mouths opens couldn't make a sound yet. See the pictures of them in my thread below. They're adorable although asleep . Love Phillipa
