Was jogging and tripped on the sidewalk and fell. only can type with one hand. I broke one of the bones between your wrist and elbow.i am trouble typing with one hand. The cast is really callrd a splint but hardens up like a cast. Will call ortho tomorrow to see what he wants to do cast or not and how long. Can't even peel a bananna. Love Phiippa

I was afraid of that! Arms "usually" don't break with a simple fall. :-( Be sure and let us know what the doc says tomorrow.
And do whatever it takes to make it heal faster. Special meds, vitamins, electric stimuli, whatever.

No Docs open today. Good Friday. All closed. What do you know about osteoporosis? Love Jan ps it hurts can't even put my bra on. And already my husband is disappearing so he won't have to help me. Love Phiippa

~well, 1st DONT break the other one hitting him again AND BLAME IT ON ME!!!!..j/k i know my mother has osteo and the slightest anything can fracture or break a bone and hers do not heal well. did they try and set the bone correctly last night?? i wld. look it up and start taking a vitamin especially for people w/ osteoporosis....if the hospital did not set the bone, i wld. go back. you don't want it to begin to heal wrong and they can call a specialist in if needed.

No looked a clean break.Allthe orthos are off for Easter. and i had to wash and style my own hair. Seems Greg keeps disappearing. my heighbor said I could do more damage as Greg tripped the cast around my fingers as i couldn't even brush my teeth. And thepain med iwas given I'm afraid To take as the LSW gave me that form for substance abuse since i've been on benzos so many years. ieven cut down on them on my own but the pdoc raised the valim. I didn't want that as I want to cut down. But every pdoc i've ever seen says I need them. And they ask qestions on the form abot using crack,meth,heroine. What do i do????????Love Phillipa

Thanks Gee I see the Ortho who will cover my fingers again so I won't be able to type. As far as the pain goes it is worse and is keeping me up all night from using my fingers I guess. Love Phillipa
