Do me a favor?

Posted by gardenergirl on March 16, 2006, at 14:14:19

In about a month, maybe 36ish days, will someone remind me to check out whether I might be PMSing? Ask me maybe if I've had the "hollow leg syndrome" recently? Because I really really really hate when PMS sneaks up on me, grabs hold, and stays "quiet" until it decides to roar.

And it happens nearly every month. And I never realize it til it's "too late." My pdoc recommended I take an extra half to whole Nardil tablet that week, but I forget and/or don't realize until it's almost over, so it doesn't seem worth it.

I am so danged CRANKY!!!!!!!!!!

AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!

sigh

Thanks in advance.

(i hope this isn't duplicated)

I'm not good at remembering this either. But I found putting a reminder in my Palm Pilot has worked more often than not. Instead of "you got mail", it tells me "it's that time".

Prepare to battle.

GG do you have a calender you use? Write down the date on it if you do and leave reminders on stickies all over the house and even in your car. Fondly, Phillipa

Good suggestions. I feel silly for not thinking of that. Especially because I check my Palm for when my last period was to see if it might be PMS.

D'oh! Sometimes the simplest of ideas just escape us.

Thanks.

Acutually, that may be what triggered me to look at the calendar. :)

Hmmm, I think that would be okay only if I never had any passengers in my car. I don't think I'd like to "'splain" or even "sum up" what they meant. Oy!

But reminding myself is a good idea. Thanks.

they were serious...

aparantly that is why it tends to get worse when you get older and you haven't had a kid yet...

but then...

i heard the function of attraction is that the pheremones give us info that the gene combo would be a goodie (that is why different people are attracted to different people)

and then...

i heard that teh function of romantic love is to motivate adultery 'i was so in love i couldn't help myself'.

hrm.

didja know that it makes sense that women invest more in childrearing than guys (cause you are damned sure the mother is investing in her biological offspring whereas guys never can be sure...)

also... it makes sense for guys to be intereseted in their wives being monogomous (to ensure the offspring is theirs) whereas the wives would be more interested in emotional monogomy 'cause they might take the resources elsewhere...

though there are a couple theories on that...

apparantly according to pop conception...

guys can have sex without love...
but don't tend to love without having sex

whereas women can have love without sex
but don't tend to have sex without love...

so if a guy sleeps around... they might not love them.
if a girl sleeps around... they do love them.

if a guy has an emotional relationship... they are probably sleeping with them too
whereas if a girl has an emotional relaitonsilhip they may well not be sleeping with them.

but... guys theorising still ;-)

and financial considerations are supposed to be #1.

romantic love is supposed to motivate best genes adultery in the face of possible violence and loss of financial support...

but there are lotsa theories :-)

you know...
it is in a womans best interests to have a guy believe she is faithful (so he invests in offspring)
yet to sleep around for best genes.

(because best genes might be worst husbands)

heh heh

this is coming from people studying female promiscuity in the insect / animal world... and in our evolutionary pasts.

:-)

Geeze, that's me too - I get SO irritable! And I get terrible migraines after the irritability. grrrrr

I use my calendar - like that helps - only complete isolation and lots of pain relief helps.

I saw a very interesting documentary on a man who had undergone the process of becoming a woman.
He said as a man he could have sex without love and not think about it. As a woman though, she couldn't do it.
