My opinion - Nope. They don't have any particular zippy effect on me EXCEPT for the zing I get from caffiene. AND... I think that's what is the general action FOR me. I'm not sure if the amounts of all the supplement type additives, in any of them available, is enough for make an impact. They are, in general, hopped up with caffiene.

And I think Red Bull has it. You can follow the link below to a manuscript on it.
But BE CAREFUL, too many energy drinks can cause serious arrhythmias

I'm going to try RedBull one of these days. I've never tried any of those energy drinks before.

Too many energy drinks contributed to my husband's kidney stones a few years ago.

I hate the energy drinks. They can get really addicting and they're not really good for you. Red Bull kinda tastes like cough syrup. How can anyone drink it?

I think they are so bad for you, but yeah, they work a bit and when you mix them with alcohol *yikes*!

Matt, I can't say I really relate. I had a couple of red bull once and it just made me really hyper. I was tired before, then I totally felt myself come down. That's when I went home.
