First sit down with your parents and tell them what is going on in your mind. And let them help you. You are too young to do anything on your own. We care. Fondly, Phillipa

Could you sleep in another room?
Could you have a friend sleep over and see if it still happens?
Or tell your parents your scared, really scared and mebbe they will sleep in your room one night to see what happens.
Can you put headphones on and listen to music?
Hope all goes well.
Even if it was ghosts, they won't hurt you, you can go to sleep ok.

Can you talk to your Mom about it? Or a counsellor at school? I think you need to tell someone who knows you and knows what may be going on.
Have you heard any freaky ghost stories lately? Some of them can get really freaky!

When I was about the same age as you, I was convinced I was having ghost experiences, I had recently been to a sleepover where we had read some scary stories and watched scary movies. Anyway I was convinced I heard things, saw things... (Today I have no idea as to whether they were ghosts or me thinking that but I assume it was my imagination) and then just a few months ago I posted abut this .....

I must have an overactive imagination. anyway have you seen a scary movie recently? Are you really stressed out?
Even when we are not stressed, for me anyway, our imaginations can get a little carried away. Im not saying you arent hearing noises, but they may be the wind that your brain processes as whispering, you know? This is assuming there aren't ghosts in your house. if I hear any noise thats out of the ordinary it can freak me out.
definately talk to someone about this though, my expeirence is that parents who don't listen aren't the best ones... have you got another adult around who you can talk to about htis? If not tell your parents again and explain how concerned you are, and if that fails go talk to your family doctor.
try to get some sleep, which btw will increase your worry and make you more sensitive to interpretting things as strange... lack of sleep can have a crazy impact on how you think, it will make the situation much worse.
Even if your parents don't believe you, it doesn't mean you are going insane... ok?

Hi jennet,
Try to talk to your parents about what you are hearing. Maybe a squirrel or another animal got into the attic. That might be what you are hearing.
I believe in ghosts, but they make such rare appearances that I'm more likely to think it's an animal. I don't think you're going insane, you are definitely hearing something unusual and I hope your parents help you investigate what it is.

can you make out anything the voices are saying? or is it just whispering and muffled.
Hearing things like this can be VERY scary. But whatever it is, you are not in any danger and you are NOT crazy.
If you think your parents will be receptive, I would talk to them if this continues. However, if you think that they will just minimalize the way you feel, then I would talk to someone else.
For instance, it seems to be really easy for me to talk to doctors. They're smart (usually) and listen. Perhaps you could make an appointment with your doctor and sort of "spill the beans" there. The minimum he/she can do is help you sleep. Which it sounds as though you really need.
Good luck and welcome to babble.

Well, if you can find someone you feel safe and comfortable talking to I think you should. I agree with the other posters. However, I and several other people I know personally believe in ghosts and other phenomena. I will not get into that because I don't want to freak anyone out or anything. And, I don't hear or see things with my mental disorders ever. And, I had other people with me who witnessed the same things a few times. So, I do not in the last think you are crazy. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Maybe your house has some strange accoustics. Your mom could be talking from one room and the sound could travel through the vents or walls and make it sound like it is coming from somewhere else.
This is the end of the thread.
