If there was any doubt, it's now been removed. For the first time, I was asleep before midnight on New Year's Eve. And you know what? That's OK with me.

I wouldn't want to be young again. I did soooo many stupid things!
Middle-aged is fantastic! Although you must be more middle-aged than I; I did see the new year arrive! ;~} LOL!

You know, ive never really understood celebrating the new year. It makes sense if you plan on making a big or difficult change, but i see absolutely no reason to celebrate something just because everybody else does. traditions dont make sense so stop them. dont do something just because somebody else thinks you should. be happy with who you are and things normally fall into place, and if they dont... be happy with the chaos that ensues... happy new day everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm already old, then? :-(
I didn't got to bed until later, but it didn't matter. I couldn't sleep. It was well after 5 a.m. when I finally went to sleep. I hate waking up when the morning is over already.

I remember this year, when my T called me a women in her middle ages. I am like, EXCUSE ME, I am not middle age yet. (is he in the DARK ages, or what?) LOL If I plan to live to be 120, then I would say middle age is 60, not 36.
But I stayed up til midnight, because I was talking to babble friends on open last night.

:)
Maybe just sensible rather than middle aged?
I'd have probably fallen asleep myself except that my son has gotten to the age where staying up till midnight is pure excitement. And he was especially looking forward to kicking 2005 on its backside on the way out.
We always literally sweep out the old year and welcome in the new. :)
When I think of how 2005 abused our hospitality!
