he's a safe person to interact with.
I can talk to him and he doesn't respond. He's like an imaginary friend. I think up responses from him and they don't upset me.
Real people are unpredictable. They can upset me. Interacting with real people is tricky. I don't know if I'll ever get the hang of it. :-(
I think I'm doomed to have either imaginary friends or pets as my friends.

Yes, it's so much better to have someone who can't disappoint you- or you can't disappoint.

>Me neither. The problem isn't that they're unpredictable, the problem is that they affect you in unpredictable ways. Most of the time I want to spend my days with a blanket over my head. Do you feel overstimulated by people?

I still haven't gotten over the death of my dog, and my imagination has gotten so slack that I can't imagine an imaginary friend.
But it's life at its most basic that keeps me going. Just life.
I'm sorry you feel this way :-(
