anyone else ever dream about psychobabble?

Posted by sleepygirl on December 4, 2005, at 20:17:39

Is this a strange thing? Perhaps I'm too invested in this website!! I had a dream anyway that millions of people posted here, and I was upset because I didn't want TOO many people here. I like the familiarity here ya know?

i've had dreams about posters from here.
posters i've never met even.
but i knew who they were.
and i bet they look nothing like that irl.
i think...
it would be strange if i didn't dream about babble / babblers...
because it is such a big part of my life.

i think...
i've had dreams about blocks / pbc's too
well...
nightmares maybe ;-)

I dream about posts/blocks/PBC's. Fleetingly, worriedly, frettingly. Mostly making me feel powerless and inadequate.
Lonely little pathetic dreams.

((((Clearskies))))))

I've been known to wake up and rush to the computer lab to apologise for something or other (hopefully hopefully) before someone gets upset / Dr bob hits the boards...

Post Postem Stress after PWD

I haven't dreamed about Babble but I often feel post-postem stress upon waking. Sometimes I've made several apologies before I properly wake up, still low in the saddle and slumped over the computer.

This may be peculiar to atypical depression but last night's dreams will stay with me during the day. It takes me hours to get over a nightmare and I have to remind myself it didn't happen.

On another note, since I started inderal LA most of my dreams are full of dread and violence. I can't count the times I've been shot or met a violent end. Very vivid too. I periodically use cymbalta to counter the inderal-nightmare effect.

A little cymbalta really jazzes up my dream life and makes for happy endings.

I've had several dreams about Psycho-Babble. In one, Dr. Bob was my professor in this weird psychiatry class where we (Babblers in his class) had to cure different mental illnesses by solving these complicated equations.

In another, Dr. Bob was the owner of this cool nightclub.

The last dream I had about Psycho-Babble was yesterday. I had a dream that I was at the APA meeting in Toronto and I totally froze with fear at the prospect of having to present in the small groups. I think this dream was more of a lucid dream because this situation is very likely to happen. I think I might make a fool of myself. I'm probably going to get so nervous that I'll hide in a corner and pretend things weren't happening. Oh god, I hope I don't cry. Everyone will think, "What's wrong with this girl?" I'm serious about this happening. I don't talk to people on a daily basis. The only people I talk to are my parents and my p-doc.

If I start freaking out, please please please don't draw more attention to me.

we tend to dream about things that consume us or that we think about/issues that we face during the day....i probably would have babbledreams if i spent more time here. although sometimes just a flickering thought during the day can materialize in a dream...
