Happyflower, tell us about the concert!

Posted by Tamar on November 9, 2005, at 19:24:35

Maybe you're playing while I'm posting this! I'm thinking of you.

I hope you have a fantastic time and that it goes really well!

Yeh, been thinking about it all day. Saw a bike-courier in Martin Place today blowing a mighty fine version of What a Wonderful World on his trumpet and thought of you immediately. So come on tell us how it went.

It went great! I am really happy about my perfomance, I wasn't even nervous! I couldn't believe how calm I was! I guess old age helps! LOL
Once I get the photos developed, I will gave ya a link to them. My mind is still in fog, I just got up, it is almost 10am! LOL The the band went out afterwards, so I got home very late! I didn't even go and exercise this morning, I am taking a break today! Whew!

Thanks for remembering me! :) (nm)

Hey, Damos!
Maybe my mind is still not working yet this morning, but are you saying that this guy was playing the trumpet while riding his bike? Maybe I need to go back to bed! LOL

Thanks for thinking of me, makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside! :)

That's terrific! I'm so happy for you. (nm) » happyflower

LOL! Not quite. Martin Place is a big pedestrian plaza and he just rode up, stopped, pulled the trumpet out of his saddle bag, tossed a cap on the ground and got into it while still sitting on his mountain bike. the sound was awesome surrounded by all the buildings. It was rather cool, and plenty of people on their way to work were tossing change in.

Happy,
I'm sorry I haven't responded sooner. I'm glad your concert went great w/o jitters and wanting to puke backstage....LOL! I know that feeling all to well...
What did you play??
What is the name of the band??
Smiles for you
Dom

LaFleur,
I forgot to tell you... My husband saw Maynard Ferguson a few weeks ago in concert. While backstage, he had an informal audition with him, and was asked to go up in December to NY for a formal audition.... that rocks!!!
Remember...don't let the little things make you nervous, the big things are sometimes a curtain call away...
Smiles
Dom
