Does anyone watch Lost?

Posted by TexasChic on November 8, 2005, at 18:40:59

I just got through reading around 3 hours of theories on a 'Lost' forum. I think my brain exploded somewhere along the way. Does anyone 'really' understand the 'string theory'? Maybe Larry Hoover, he seems to be the smart one. Anyway, the theories are so intricate and complex, you just wouldn't believe it. There's a whole bunch of indebt theads on the the mural in the hatch. I didn't even see a mural! I'll be much more aware on the next episode. At least, I'll try to be. I'll probably miss all the significant stuff while I'm trying to figure out who is hotter: Jack or Sawyer.

I am so far behind this great show that I have the dvd of the first season on order, I love it but when it's on, it's nodding head time in our house. We rarely get past the first commerical.
Spoilers are OK, though.

We have always used the cable recorder to record our favorite shows. That way we can watch them late at night and zoom through the commercials. i love Grey's Anatomy, ER, Biggest Loser, Wife Swap, hope American Idol returns soon. Fondly, phillipa

No, I'm stuck on Reunion!!!! : ( (nm) » TexasChic

I do appreciate the respectful tone, but the mathematics of string theory is beyond me. I have a superficial comprehension of it, at best. What on Earth does string theory have to do with Lost?

The mural in the hatch. I haven't any idea.

We're only half way through the first series in the UK (and I am utterly addicted!)..

So if anyone posts about Lost, can they make that clear as I really don't want to read any spoilers!!

>What on Earth does string theory have to do with Lost?

It was referenced as a joke, but it does go with the theories about the island that include time and dimensions. At least I think it does. I was just blown away that these people could just throw in a joke about the string theory while in casual conversation. No wonder their theories were so hard for me to grasp!

> Sawyer.

Ha, ha! I think I''ll have to go with Sawyer too.

Man, that was an awesome episode! I had heard they were going to kill off one of the main female characters, but I didn't know when (or if it was true). Poor, poor Sayid! He's gonna freak out on 'Girl Fight' girl now. And poor Shannon! It showed how she became so bitter, and that she was finally learning to trust again.

So did everyone else yell out 'Boone!" when it showed him??? I know I did. Aw-w-w, Boone... At least they balanced it out by killing someone all the guys liked!!

Did anyone notice that Shannon's father was killed in the same accident that Jack's future wife was injured in? It showed Jack walking by in his scrubs.

Oh, and I heard on the radio that they played what Walt said backwards, and he said, 'they are coming, they are close' or something like that. So, was Walt trying to warn them, or did he set them up because he's one of the "other's" now? Hm-m-m...
