Purple moustache

Posted by Sarah T. on October 28, 2005, at 23:22:53

Hi. I can't believe I'm asking this. I'm an adult, but I feel so silly right now. A few hours ago, I drank some grape juice and didn't clean my mouth or lips right away. Now I have a purple moustache. I tried cleaning it off with ivory soap and warm water and dove soap. The moustache is slightly lighter, but it's still there. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it? It looks as if I have a permanent tatoo.

If I knew you better Sarah I'd suggest that you dunk your whole head in the grape juice to get rid of it, but since I don't, I won't. You might not know I was only joking.

Maybe it would work on grape juice?

Hi Toph,

Well, isn't this the time of year when we dunk for apples? I could put the apples in big vat of grape juice.

The purple color is finally gone. The trouble is, my face is so chapped anyway that all that scrubbing to remove the grape juice stain didn't do me any good!

Hi Theresa,

I didn't know that facial atringents can remove haircolor from skin. I don't color my hair, but it's interesting that astringents can do that. I wonder which ingredient in the astringents removes the dye.

Hi Phil,

Ouch! Duct tape sounds a little too painful to me.

Perhaps duct tape could be used to remove facial hair instead of those hot wax treatments (or don't they have those anymore?).
