I opened my Bible last night for the first time since my attempt. It was covered w/ dust but I felt pulled to it. Now this morning the news is saying yet another hurricane is headed towards my g-ma and pa who are both sick. He is to have open heart surgery but keeps putting it off. I'm just overstressed thinking of 'what if'. A cat 5 now...when will it stop!? I know I need to worry about today for now but d*mn, they are all I have. Sorry, just frustrated ; (

I'msorry you are so upset. It's scary times for so many.
My husband really, really believes we are in the last days. The good news is that if that's true, we get to see Jesus soon!

I'm sorry. Believe me, I understand. We're looking at the projected path and shaking our heads at the seeming improbability of it.
But... One thing I know about hurricanes is they don't like the cooler waters of the gulf in mid to late October. If it does enter the gulf proper, it's likely to weaken as it moves north, and definitely as it moves closer to land.
Do your grandparents live directly on the coast? Although I know the toll that a hurricane can have even if it's a miss, what with evacuations and difficult living conditions.

Hey Dinah~yes they do and I doubt they will leave their home. They were hit by Katrina when she was a cat 2 and lost power for weeks and the canal was at the back door. My g-ma has refused to leave through every hurricane in over 30+ years so I am frustrated and worried. My papa is VERY sick and that adds to it. One day at a time though. Thanks for asking ; )

Sigh. People who live in hurricane prone areas are often very stubborn about evacuating. My inlaws evacuated exactly twice, the last time for this hurricane when it was really important to evacuate.
No chance of them coming up to visit you then?
Evacuating is stressful, no doubt, but so is living without power for extended periods of time. And certainly living in floodwater.
Sigh.

Wildcard, that's where my Daughter lives too. The oldest one. She's in Stuart Fla. And Clear Skies is there also. Guess I'm glad we didn't move down there. Fondly, Phillipa
