Who has a good product or procedure for getting TOUGH soap scum off a fiberglass tub and shower insert?

I would use THe WOrks bathroom cleaner and make sure you use gloves. Or another thing that helps is rubbing the doors with mineral oil or baby oil.

Please let me qualify this by saying that I am not all that experienced (or skilled) in this realm...
Strangely enough, I found Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser to be good at this. It does take a lot of scrubbing though. It is a pretty cool product in general if you are looking to buy cleaning supplies. ;)

I use equal parts of white spirit vinegar, water and bicarbonate of soda (just watch the bicarb - it bubbles like mad when mixing). I spray liberally and leave for a few hours. Grime, mould and "black parts" come off easily without too much elbow grease.
And it is cheap.

According to experiments
Lysol Hard Water Stain Cleaner works the best out of the top 5 brands.Me, I use borax, if it's really tough, citric acid if it's not.
I don't even mix it (the borax) I make a paste and scrub with it, and it's no effort at all. But the borax can be a little messy, however it cleans whatever it falls on!

I hate icky soap scum!
I use ScrubFree SoapScum Remover...not sure if it is the best or anything!

It was a nasty job. I found Easy Off Bam worked really well. After rinsing that STRONG stuff off, I went over it with a Mr. Clean Magic Reach with the scrubbie pad for it and it looks great. A little minor upkeep and I've been able to avoid any backbreaking work to keep it nice - mayhaps if I had done that in the first place..... hindsight is too revealing.
I've been on a Fall cleaning rip and MUCK OUT (tranlated - throw a bunch of old tired mess that is of NO use out) and I feel like a cleaning products/organiztion products sl#t, but it sure is nice to get the place clean and organized... makes me feel and function better.
