I have been so excited and looking forward to my mom visiting.
She was supposed to fly out of Nashville this afternoon but called me a few hours ago from the hospital- they admitted my dad and are running tests, they think he's had congestive heart failure.
I am worried about my dad, I don't want to sound selfish but this has been such a loooong several years with his health that I try not to even get upset anymore.
I'm just discouraged. I really wanted to spend time with my mom, my kids' were so excited and have been counting the days, etc.. My husband and I paid for the ticket through priceline (with money we didn't have) and they won't give any refunds or exchanges.
This day stinks.
Oh, and I started my "monthly" friend this morning.
Thrill.

I hope that you feel better. I pray that you dad will be ok.
I also pray that you and your mom will get to visit and that it will be better than you can even dream or imagine.
I dont have a monthly friend anymore. He he. It is so awsome.

I hate those days...I hope your dad is alright and you see ur mom soon. Sorry george came today ; ( He'll be gone soon though...

I am sitting here on my laptop watching
"lost" tv show. I had a rough 2 days, i went job hunting all around dallas went from tower to tower.Anyways, well i hope your dad is going ot be ok. My dad had congestive heart failure, and now is cured! but he is not christain, is into scientology, he has mental problems.... let pray that he will be healed in the brain. This is my real dad, the lawyer.
Hope your kids are doing ok in school. I rerember when i first started, those where happy day... nap time and playground.
I am bummbed about something happening right now, mom, medication, girlfriend, collage...
I want to have a reset button.

hi Spriggy,
I'm so sorry about all of that! How awful! I hope your dad is OK, and I'm soooo sad for you about your mom missing the trip, esp. after you struggled to get a ticket. What bad luck, bad timing. But at least she was home for your dad when he got sick. It would have been sad and scary for him to be alone and go to the hospital, and then she'd have to fly back anyway...I hope the day gets better and that you have a nice weekend, even if you mom can't be with you. I hope she can plan a trip once your dad is stabilized!
