Clocks
Lights go out and I can't be saved
Tides that I tried to swim against
Have brought me down upon my knees
Oh, I beg, I beg and plead*manic depression*
Come out of the things unsaid
Shoot an apple off my head
And a trouble that can't be named
A tiger's waiting to be tamed*mania*
Confusion that never stops
The closing walls and the ticking clocks
Gonna come back and take you home
I could not stop, that you now know*mixed state*
Come out upon my seas
Cursed missed opportunities
Am I a part of the cure
Or am I part of the disease*lows*
You are
Nothing else compares
You are
Home, *highs* where I wanted to go
Home, *highs* where I wanted to go
-------------------------------------------------
I miss the highs, but I do not miss the destructive lows.
Great song.

Ah, from Rush of Blood to the Head. Bought it the other day along with Green Day's American Idiot and the Eels Blinking Lights and Other Revelations. Really like Wake Me up When September Ends on American Idiot. Tend to play You Are Free bu Cat Power a lot too.
The things we do to block out the unpleasant reality of work.
Have a good one Nick.

Finally got to X&Y and I like it :-)
I brought American Idiot the other day too!
Atticus mentioned it and I liked Dookie so I thought I'd like that one too. The first track is definately Greenday and then their style changes a bit...I got Audioslave too. Both Albums. I used to love Rage Against the Machine (self titled album - though I haven't listened to Evil Empire yet either).
Not too bad... They were a mix of something... Some people from Rage and some people from... I forget. They sound a little like Soundgarden to me...
Coldplay aren't depressing compared to... Some of Radiohead. Kid A and Amnesiac are a little hard to listen to...

Think I'll have to get Dookie having heard American Idiot. Can't say I've ever listened to Rage Against The Machine though. Did used to love one Soundgarden song, what was it? Oh Yeah Black Hole Sun I think. Was listening to a lot of Nirvana around the same time.
Like Coldplay and read that Magic Dirt just released a new album yesterday Snow White play their last one Tough Love a fair bit.
This is the end of the thread.
