What Time Do You Go To Bed and Wake up?

Posted by Phillipa on July 24, 2005, at 22:04:08

I'm curious. They say you should get at least 8 hours sleep each night. So what time do you go to bed and what time do you get up in the morning. How many hours sleep do you require? Fondly, Phillipa

I don't know... Usually I try to go to bed at about 9PM, when I take my evening meds, but it can be hours after that before I go to sleep. Lately I've been getting out of bed at around 10:00 AM, which is LOTS of sleep. Still I wish I coul take my evening meds earlier. Go figure.

Hmmm...when I have absolutely nothing to do I tend to go to bed later and later each and every night...until I'm going to bed at about 3:30am and getting up at around 2 in the afternoon. That's a lot of sleep...about 10 hours a night a guess...that seems to be a good night's rest for me. :-)

When I'm very busy with school work etc, I tend to go to bed at around 1 or maybe 2am and wake up time depends on when my classes are. Sometimes I get very little sleep when I have early classes. I make it all up during the weekends...sometimes sleeping for 12 hours.

Now that I have work, I guess I go to bed at around 12-1am and get up at 9:15am. I'm getting used to it.

I usually go to bed around 11 or midnite, and get up around 6 or 7. I need at LEAST 7 hrs of good sleep to be fully functional. My body gets very weird if I don't get sleep. I don't like it at all! I wish I were the kind of person who could get by on 4 hrs, b/c I love reading and being on the computer and DOING stuff. Sleeping seems such a waste. But my body needs it, so sleep I do! :)

Lately to bed around 1 AM and up around 7 AM.

As for your other question, I stay home with 4 kids, so that's work, just not the paid kind. I used to be a manager for a major corp. and after that did fraud investigations for another corp.

I go to bed between 9 and 11 PM and get up at any time before noon. Lately I've been getting up at about 8 because I take a class 3X/week at 9:10.

I try to go to bed about Midnight, but sometimes I am as late as 1 a.m. After that is really too late even though I like to stay up. I usually wake up about 8:30 a.m. and I'm up two or three times briefly in the middle of the night.

I really need 7 hours. I don't always get it.

I go to bed between 12:30 and 1:30 AM and I wake up between 7:00 and 8:30 AM (depending on the day), if I'm off I'll sleep to 12:00. I'm definitely not sleeping enough. That is why I am a sleepygirl. I went to work this weekend and I felt like I was half asleep for most of the day. I have really crappy sleeping habits. My favorite time to sleep is right smack in the middle of the day (heavenly!). It's a darn good thing I don't have kids! I'd never last!

I used to go to bed between 10 and 11, and wake up between 6 and 7. I'd usually get about 7 hours, which was good for me. Now that I'm going to bed between Midn. and 1, and waking up around 6 -7, I see a definite change in my appearance - more wrinkles and my eye lids are heavy. Yikes! I think I need that one extra hour of sleep! Of course the kids are on summer break, so they're up later, and I take this as an excuse to stay up and play on the computer or talk with them. When does school start?!
