This is for real. Ever since my 3l year old daughter was ll she has had the nickname of Barbie[doll]. When I was vacationing in VA Beach with her and my older daughter some punkers looked at her and said"Hey look at Barbie". She was very preppy. The name has stuck and I still send her Barbie cards. Last weekend we were staying at her house while she was in Ct to kitty sit and I filled her house with Barbie things as a joke and to bug her husband. Barbie stickers all over the house. My husband put a Barbie screensaver on his new computer. I bought and left a Barbie suitcase by her front door to greet her. Now since she's taking her real estate course to become an agent and my husband has his licence and I've taken the course we're thinking of opening a Real Estate Company called Barbie and Ken, Let's Play House. Buy VW bugs and paint them pink with Barbie on the hood. Everyone needs a gimick to make money. Do you guys think it's worth looking into? Fondly, Phillipa

It's a fun idea, but I'm sure JYL is correct, perhaps you could get away with it if the real names were Barbie and Ken (though that would probably require a fight as you'd be using the names to promote business) but along with the Barbie
motifs I'm positive it would be a no-go.Big business is scary, A woman with the last name Corrs who marketed a health food drink was forbidden from calling it Corrs because it was too close to the trademark name Coors. Here in Canada the "Save on Foods" corporation took a small meat store in Vancouver to court because the name of the meat store was Save-On Meats. The meat store had been in business for 15 years before "Save-on Foods" was even a thought.

I love your idea: it's great. But I suspect you'd get into trouble with M*ttel.
I heard stories about Scottish entrepreneurs by the name of MacDonald who run into trouble with lawsuits instigated by the g*lden *rches people...
It's a scary world out there.
