My 10

Posted by jay on April 7, 2005, at 7:48:16

I don't know if I am doing this right, but here are 10 things I am greatful for and make me happy:(In no particular order, either)

10. I have a warm, clean bed to go to at night
9. I have the best parents in the world. ;P na na
8. I get 3 meals a day and can buy any food I want.
7. I have a roof over my head
6. I get excellent, free universal medical care, and can see any doctor any time I wish in my country.
5. I have a job that pays very well and I really like, and a future career that looks even better.
4. I can call my Prime Minister of my country a F*cking A*shole to his face, and not worry about being put on some list or having government thugs call me a 'terrorist'
3. I am going to be going to school in the most multi-culturally diverse city in the world, Toronto, Canada.
2. I am going to see U2 in September
1. I am in love with the fact I am a liberal minded social democrat, period.

There...I did it!..lol Wow, never thought I could.

Peace, Jay

Ha ha.. some of those just totally cracked me up. But jay, this is a great idea- it forces us to think of all we have to be thankful for!

#1)That God loves me no matter what I do (thankfully it's unconditional)
#2) that I have a husband who grasps what it means to truly love a woman
#3) that my oldest son, who will be 10 next week (is autistic) went poop in the toilet for the first time ever this week! (he is still in diapers).
#4) for those new "ear thermometers"
#5) that my mother just told me she paid some cleaning service to come spring clean my house next week.. WOO HOOO
#6) that my dad is still alive and breathing'
#7) that I was able to go see my dad last month and tell him all that needs to be said before I stand over his casket- and vice versa
#8) that my doctor finally found out something physically wrong with me so I don't feel like a total and completely hypochondriac
#9) that my children say their prayers' every night and always end with, " we love you Jesus."
#10) for a cup of coffee while reading this site!

hey Jay- did you ever do #4?? LOL (nm)

I actually did shout insults at the prime minister of my country once. But he just ignored me. Better than putting me on a list, I suppose!
