Taking a Babble break

Posted by gardenergirl on April 4, 2005, at 9:59:56

Hi folks,
I haven't been posting much anyway, but I have been reading. There's kind of a long story about my depression coming back that's related to some stuff I left open in therapy and my T kind of let me. We talked about it in my last session and figured out that we probably should have kept dealing with it rather than letting me shift to "easier stuff" (ha ha!)

Anyway, I've been very grumpy, and I'm having a lot of trouble focusing on stuff I need to get done. And I'm spending way too much time on the internet, and I'm not even being "productive" here, so I'm taking a break.

I'm not sure how long it will be. At least until I get my work and school stuff back on track and pull my brain out of the computer. ;) I'm still available by email and Babblemail.

Take care, all. I'll be thinking of you.

gg

Oh, gg. I'm sorry you're having a hard time right now. I'm glad you're recognizing that you need a break from here (although, selfishly, I'm sad) and doing what's best for you.

Sorry I don't have time to write more. Hang in there. You know where I am if you need me.

Take lots of care,
Laurie

Please take good care, GG

((((gardenergirl))))

I was aware from some of your posts that you had been experiencing some recurrence of depression, and I am sorry that you are struggling with that and other things right now. You know that your friends here will miss you very much, but know also that we will also respect your need for a break.

And, please know, gg, that you are a kind, thoughtful and generous person who makes a big difference here. Don't ever think you aren't being productive or making a contribution. Even just a few words of encouragement and support or a simple hug from you mean so much to so many.

My thoughts are with you gg. Take good care of you.

All the best,

Tamara

Good to choose the healthy thing. Wish I had as much self-awareness and determination, so I'd stop blowing off my schoolwork/housework to Babble. You set a healthy example, for sure. See, you're making a difference even now :-)

Take care. We will all miss you and be thrilled whenever you do pop back in! - 10der

I hadn't noticed your being grumpy. I have always found your posts to be terrific.

I'm sorry things are tough for you right now. If you are feeling down or lonely or anything, remember that we are here for you. It is good to receive as well as to give, and you help so many. It is ok for you to be going through a tough patch. I understand what it is like to fall behind on work and school and stuff... I'm having to cut back on Babble time myself. But don't become a stranger - we would miss you too much.

((((gg))))

Don't be a stranger.

Well, you certainly hide grumpy better than I do. :)

I'm sorry you're not feeling well, gg. I hope that improves, for your sake.

We'll be here when you have time to post again.

I may have to step away from the computer again myself. Monday morning and another passel of unhappy people calling for their work.

Sorry you are going through a rough patch. It happens to the best of us. We're all sending you lots of babble hugs and best wishes.

Spring is just around the corner. We could actually smell "green" today ... it's really here. The snow has all melted and the sun was out until 8 p.m. tonight. Soak in those midwest rays!! Take as much time as you need. We'll miss you, but we'll be here when you feel you can return.

I popped in for a bit. I'll probably do that from time to time. Still not where I want to be with my work, so I'm not back yet. But I'm reading and occasionally popping in.

Nice to see y'all. Wish I could see a few more.........(trying to find my swim goggles and nose plugs)

I'm surprised at myself but really, I miss you when you're not posting, gg. Sigh. Sunny and Alexandra are both going through hell. There's not much we can do for them except be supportive and caring. Sigh.
