I think it went well. I go back next week for a 2nd interview and should know the next day after that. Not that many candidates. Very nice facility. Very nice people. I think I was pretty much myself, although I know I had some nervous habits that someone may have noticed. Should have brought my river rock.

And I did stop at Starbucks first, but it was too hot and I couldn't drink it all before the interview. :( So naturally I had to go back. Good thing I thought to order a smaller one first time.

Thanks everyone. I felt more confident knowing y'all were behind me. I'll keep you posted.

Babblers are the best!

I think it is good to come across as slightly nervous. That shows them that it is important to you.

Let us know when the next one is so we can wish you luck again :-) I'm glad you are feeling okay about it all. Nerve wracking, I know.

Well, if they are having you back for a 2nd interview, you passed the first one!

Party time! I'll bring the bibs.

Sounds promising. :) Got my fingers crossed. (nm) » gardenergirl

Thanks,

I've got my fingers and toes crossed for you. Hopefully, they'll do the trick even though they aren't monkey toes ;).

You'll do fantastic and I can't wait to hear the good news tomorrow!!

Thanks everyone for your support and cheerleading. It helps to know that you have confidence in me. But I didn't get it. It was down to 3 for 2 positions. It was very close, she said.

I asked her for feedback, and she said that I was not as focused in the interview about my future plans and how this opportunity would help me reach those goals. And rightly so. I didn't have good answers for that.

Plus, I finding that stuff I feel more intuitive about I have a hard time breaking down into a logical and linear explanations. You know, the nuts and bolts of it. I just know it.

So, I'm sad, but I'm trying not to feel personally rejected. Instead, I'm trying to learn from this experience and do better next time.

sigh

Anybody's T need an intern for next year? ;-)
(kidding)

Thanks again. Babble is a great place for my ego.

I know, that's the way it is sometimes, we're not the perfect fit for somebody BUT good for you asking for feedback, I think that's something worthwhile for me to look into as well, on my last interview. I should phone and ask what's happening, but I'm scared to, I'll do it tomorrow. I'm afraid of way too much, it immobilizes me all the time. Good for you, GG.

hmmm... shame you can't give this place as a reference. You've helped me hugely, gg.
i find interviewing a strange experience... it can be so intimidating and yet, it's also your chance to interview your potential employer. They get a little cagey when you turn it around, you know?
hugs and lots more to you,

That just plain stinks, gg :(. I'm sorry you didn't get it.

I hope something even better comes up instead. I know it's probably hard to believe right now, but maybe everything happens for a reason, ya know? You'll find somewhere to work that will end up being a better fit for them and you.

Good luck in your search, (((((gg))))).

Take care,
Laurie

P.S. I think this situation calls for some ice cream. Falls?

Take care,

No I suppose that wouldn't be wise. I'm sorry G.G. Lots of good things will happen for you though. Really. I'm good at figuring those things out.
